Cheap Cycle Parts No Hassle Returns

In 2004, the US government cracked down on emissions causing most manufacturers to replace their competitive 2-stroke motocross bikes with newer cleaner, greener, and meaner 4-stroke versions. To comply with these new regulations, Suzuki created the RM-Z.

The RM-Z didn’t just have a new motor though, it was an entirely redesigned bike from the ground up. To save on the cost of R&D, Suzuki did something that had never been done before, they teamed up with Kawasaki to develop this new breed of 4-stroke motocross bikes. Suzuki produced the new power-plant and Kawasaki designed the frame and suspension. This partnership (lasting from 2004-2005) allowed both companies to put more into each aspect of development producing one of the best super-cross bikes to this day.

The RM-Z450 has the distinct pleasure of being the first Japanese motocross bike to have fuel injection, and has won several racing titles. In 2006 it was ridden by Ricky Carmichael to win both the AMA Supercross and AMA Motocross Championships.
